Conference and event venue for 300 people
Tagungswerk is an event venue for 300 people located in the centre of Berlin between the Jewish Museum and Checkpoint Charlie. This venue has a stylish, unpretentious exterior and a light, spacious interior, warmed with the dark glaze of clinker bricks and wooden parquet floors. With a hall surrounded by nine seminar rooms covering a total of 1.000m², this venue is "the practical one" in our family of BESONDERE ORTE venues. The hall has a ceiling height of up to 7m and can be extended through to the stage space with a massive folding door in the middle of the hall. A real highlight of this venue is the 140m² of rooftop terrace. With its different event rooms, Tagungswerk fits every kind of event perfectly: conferences, conventions, incentives, galas and events.
Perfect conference venue with nine seminar rooms
The straight lines of this convention venue are reminiscent of Bauhaus architecture. The Tagungswerk venue is comprised of a hall, seminar rooms (ranging from 22 - 70m2) and a rooftop terrace that looks out over Berlin – all of which can be rented together or separately. Mahogony wood floors and solid wooden doors give this convention venue a warm and inviting atmosphere.
(Almost) all conference rooms on the same floor
The entrance to Tagungswerk leads through the foyer on the ground floor. All other rooms in this venue are directly accessible from the foyer: the conference hall, the lobby, the stage, the stage room as well as three conference or seminar rooms. The hall is floored with superb parquet and the ceilings feature highlights of natural wood – making it equally suitable for galas, events and conferences. With rowed seating, the hall holds up to 300 people. The lobby and foyer are adjoined, making them ideal for check-in, catering and reception. The room behind the stage opens out on both sides, with a double door to the foyer and the lobby, which make it an excellent extension for catering, reception, check-in or event space. The three seminar rooms on the ground floor are ideal for smaller conference groups and workshops.
Independent Seminars
A further five seminar rooms are found on the first and second floors of Tagungswerk. These rooms are ideas for groups of up to 55 people and for smaller event formats such as conferences, seminars, workshops, congresses, classes, meetings, as well as for conference offices, or back office spaces.
Open-air venue
The jewel in the crown at Tagungswerk is the rooftop terrace for receptions of up to 130 people. Through a separate stairway outside the building, the rooftop terrace can be rented separately from the other conference spaces. Two inner courtyards – called the Markengrafenhof and the Linderhof – are further outdoor spaces located on the ground floor level at Tagungswerk. These can be used as required for receptions or event breaks.
Modern environmental technology for green meetings
BESONDERE ORTE began a comprehensive renovation of this conference building in 2005. This involved renewing the windows and insulating the roof. Electricity is generated by a photovoltaic system and a combined heat and power unit. Furthermore, the green roof is surfaced with a Noxite air-purifying membrane for better city air. This venue is an ideal venue for green meetings.
