Seminar and event venue for 150 people
Neue Mälzerei is an event venue housed in a former brewery. With 800 m² of event space, "small is beautiful" would be a good title for this BESONDERE ORTE venue. Right around the corner from Umweltforum, this venue is just a few minutes away from Alexanderplatz. A combination of both venues is possible for larger conferences, such as holding a headlining talk at Umweltforum and using Neue Mälzerei for seminars.
Conference and seminar rooms on two floors
This historically listed building has event spaces on the ground floor and the fifth floor looking out over the TV tower and Alexanderplatz. This event venue combines an appealing combination of historic fired brick architecture and the latest in event technology. Neue Mälzerei is not only an excellent venue for seminars, but also for small conferences, meetings, group precedings, workshops, receptions, galas, or other events. 800 m² of event space covers seven different rooms – the Elysium, three seminar rooms and three conference halls – all of which are for hire.
Elysium – an event space leading onto a terrace
The Elysium is on the ground floor of Neuen Mälzerei and leads onto a terrace at the front, which is also available for hire. This event room has capacity for 85 people with rowed seating and, like all of the spaces at Neuen Mälzerei, it catches plenty of daylight.
Flexible event spaces for all occasions
All other event spaces are found on the fifth floor: a plenar hall (called a "Plenarsaal"), three seminar rooms, and two domed halls (called "Kuppelsäle", or a "Kuppelsaal" singularly). Two of the seminar rooms can be joined to form one large room, and the third room is ideal as a back office and for smaller seminars for up to 24 people with rowed seating.
Plenarsaal – for conferences and seminars
The plenar hall is the largest space in the Neue Mälzerei conference venue. Up to 140 people are comfortably seated here with cinema seating. This hall is ideal for conferences, seminars, trade gatherings, galas or exhibitions.
Kuppelsäle: two domed halls formerly for storing malt, now perfect for conferences
Two domed halls are real highlights at Neue Mälzerei. One hundred years ago, these halls were used to dry the malt for making beer. Now the domed ceilings grace the halls for events of up to 84 people in each hall with seating in cinema format.
Multi-talent for seminars, conferences or dinners
With appropriate allocation of the rooms these spaces can be used individually or in combination. For example, smaller conferences can hire both the domed halls independently of the rest of the space, or alternatively, the plenar hall can be hired with or without the other spaces.
Environmentally friendly venue
All of the event spaces at Neue Mälzerei are supplied with 100% green energy. The rooms are heated with district heating, otherwise known as teleheating or network heating, making use of left-over energy from the wider district.
