Tour start: Umweltforum

Our first location is a good starting point for the tour of BESONDERE ORTE. We also like to call the Umweltforum "The Big One". The hall has a ceiling height of 17 meters. 11 seminar rooms, areas for catering and exhibitions as well as a terrace surrounded by greenery leave nothing to be desired. The mix of old and new - historic building and modern facilities - can be used flexibly. Mobile walls create new areas and rooms for different venue formats, from conferences and congresses to events and presentations.

Here you can also experience:

  • BESONDERE ORTE in 5 minutes
  • Organic coffee break & certification

Bus shuttle with entertainment

The bus transfer to the next stop will be accompanied and moderated by Arne Krasting, founder of Zeitreisen. Zeitreisen is one of Visit Berlin's first Sustainable Partners and offers tours to sustainable places in Berlin as well as team-building activities that combine sustainability with a shared experience. Along the way, special places and selected "Green Heroes" in Berlin will be presented and ways in which tourism can be more sustainable in the future will be highlighted.

Second stop: Tagungswerk

After a short bus ride, it's time for something a little more modern. The Tagungswerk is "Die Praktische" and, as the name suggests, the functional building from the 1960s is perfectly equipped for conferences.

With a divisible hall featuring a state-of-the-art LED wall, five large seminar rooms and airy catering areas with a view of the Lindenhof outside. Generous, floor-to-ceiling windows visually connect the outdoor area with the foyer and make the rooms appear even more spacious and bright. On top of this, the location is centrally located and easily accessible, making it an ideal venue for events.

Highlights:

  • Live demonstration of the LED wall
  • Live streams and hybrid events

Third stop: Französischer Dom event location

After another - even shorter bus ride - we reach the Gendarmenmarkt. Under the roof of Französischer Dom there is a platform, a museum, a restaurant and an event location.

1,000 m² of event space is spread over two interconnected buildings - the Französische Friedrichstadtkirche and the Französische Dom. The location is the place for prestigious events, conferences, award ceremonies or dinners. Halls of different sizes are available for this purpose. Large groups opt for the Friedrichstadtkirche hall. Smaller groups choose the ballroom with balconies offering views of the Gendarmenmarkt.

Extra: Französischer Dom viewing platform

For a change of pace, head up to lofty heights on the viewing platform of Französischer Dom. Enjoy a breathtaking view of Berlin's Mitte district from here and experience Berlin's architecture and history from a new perspective. The platform offers a panoramic view of the cityscape, including the TV tower, Potsdamer Platz and the Reichstag building.
